Every year for the past 11 years, EBTAG has hosted an annual workshop. Our two-day workshops consist of one day of both oral and poster presentaions, and another day for an optional fieldtrip. Abstracts submitted for technical presentations and posters for the workshop are generally about the Española Basin and surrounding watersheds, e.g. geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, geophysics, hydrology, fluvial morphology, water quality, etc., that influence natural and anthropogenic impacts on surface and ground water resources. We especially encourage submission of abstracts related to our workshop theme for this year, but we will welcome abstracts on any aspect of geology, geophysics, hydrogeology, and hydrology pertaining directly or indirectly to the Española basin. Both technical and non-technical audiences may be present - so authors are encouraged to prepare posters or oral presentations with that in mind.

Attendees should assemble at the eastern parking lot of the museum (to the left when entering) at 8:00-8:30 a.m. and the field trip begins at 8:30 a.m (no pets allowed). The trip will involve 1-2 miles of walking, generally on dirt roads with minor scrambling on rocky or brushy slopes. A detailed itinerary to be provided on May 20th. Hiking shoes, hat, and water are required. The field trip ends at noon when attendees return to the parking lot. Participants should plan to drive back into town to eat lunch.
