Scholarships
A number of scholarships are available to students attending New Mexico colleges and universities:
- The NMBGMR is seeking nominations for
the Annual Earth Science
Achievement Award that honors individuals who have made significant
contributions to earth science
education, research, public service, or public policy in New Mexico.
- The New Mexico Geological Society
offers several geoscience scholarships
- The Forum on the geology of Industrial Minerals
offers the Robert L. Bates Memorial Scholarship
- The Geological Society of America
offers several grants for research and travel
- Students that are making geologic maps as part of their research should consider applying for funding from the USGS administered EDMAP Program (due November 19, 200 -- you can apply online)
