FAQ about Energy in New Mexico

New Mexico is endowed with considerable energy resources. We have substantial reserves of fossil fuels, abundant sunshine, and strong winds. We do not currently have nuclear reactors in the state, but both uranium mining and nuclear research have historically been important to the economy of New Mexico.
