Aquifer Mapping Program (AMP)
Projects in New Mexico

Since 1992 the aquifer mapping program has grown in size and scope to encompass both short-term local projects that immediately address areas of concern and multi-year regional studies engaging a variety of disciplines and collaborators. Active projects are currently underway in the Sacramento Mountains of Otero and Lincoln Counties, and the upper Rio Grande and Taos Plateau. Projects have been completed in the Albuquerque Basin, Placitas, Estancia Basin, southern Taos Valley, and the Roswell artesian basin. A multi-year project in the Española Basin and the Santa Fe area is in the final stages of data interpretation and publication. This site provides a location for viewing and downloading reports and data produced in aquifer mapping studies.
