Waterlow & Sons produced examples of the first
Colombian petro-stamp in dark blue, apparently mainly
for use in advertising the quality of its products. The
gummed, perforate copy above is hole punched and is
overprinted "Waterlow & Sons Ltd, specimen." Shown
below is an advertising card that includes a similarly
overprinted, imperforate and un-holed example.
