This is one of the most unusual items in petroleum philately an
engraver's presentation
folder with imperforate trial color die proofs of the General Gouvernement's
Boryslaw
oil field stamp. Signed by Karl Seizinger, the engraver, and dated 2 May 1944
it is most likely a unique item related to a stamp that is itself very scarce.
An
additional example of such a proof folder is known from the engraver's
estate but it contains five die proofs the above four plus one
in a brown-violet color.
