Petroleum Stamp Essays and Proofs

Sepia die proofs for the two denominations of France's first
petro-stamp. These sheets are produced from an unfinished
and unhardened die, are printed on this paper stock with
a set of three distinctive cutouts at the bottom. About
three to five copies exist for such proofs.
