An artist-signed die proof for a 1978 French issue noting energy conservation.
Although this was a multicolor stamp (see below), only a single master engraving
was used. The proof bears the embossed control seal of the French Imprimerie
des Timbres Postes (shown enlarged and contrast-enhanced below).
