Imperforate essay (die proof) printings of stamps depicting the
oil tanker "Al Sabahiah" are pasted onto a presentation sheet
from Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company Ltd. of England.
The proof is dated as submitted for approval on 25 April
1969; harder to read is the ball-point pen writing in the
upper left that says "NOT APPROVED. Amend as per
letter dated 3-5-69". The stamps that were eventually
issued are shown below and differ mainly in the
colored box outlining the upper lettering.
