An artist-signed master die proof for a 1971 Monaco stamp decrying
oil pollution of the Mediterranean Sea. The essay carries the artist's
signature and the embossed control seal of the French government
printing plant. Essays from Monaco generally were issued in smaller
numbers than those from any other French-area countries. The
beautiful printed stamp is shown below.
