Petroleum-related
Postcards
Collecting petroleum-related postcards provides a perspective on how oil and gas exploitation has been viewed through the past 100+ years. It illustrates the facilities used in, and the occasional disasters associated with, petroleum exploration, transportation, and marketing. Finally, it demonstrated changing attitudes to the industry, from immense pride in the first 50-75 years to the "not in my backyard" approach of today. My collection of such cards is relatively small, so if you have petroleum-related postcards that you would like to sell or trade, please contact me at: scholle1@nmt.edu.
