Professional Experience

• October 2005 - September 2007
  Principal Investigator. Lone Mountain Archaeological Services, El Paso, Texas.  Primary Duties: Implementation of large block archaeological surveys on McGregor Range, Fort Bliss, GIS analysis of survey data, production of survey reports, determination of site eligibility, and management recommendations.  Additional duties included meetings with client to assess progress, writing of bids, archival research, logistical organization and supervision of field crews. 

• July 2005 - October 2005
  Senior Archaeologist, Office of Contract Archaeology, University of New Mexico.  Primary Duties: Implementation of archaeological surveys in Harding, Santa Fe, and Sandoval Counties, GIS analysis of survey data, production of survey reports, determination of site eligibility, and management recommendations.  Additional duties included meetings with client to assess progress, archival research, logistical organization and supervision of field crews.

• Sept 2004 - June 2005
  Project Manager/Assistant P.I., Lone Mountain Archaeological Services, Inc.  Primary Duties: Implementation of large block archaeological surveys on McGregor Range, Fort Bliss, GIS analysis of survey data, production of survey reports, determination of site eligibility, and management recommendations.  Additional duties included writing of bids, archival research, logistical organization and supervision of field crews. 

• May - September 2004
  Archaeological Crew Chief, National Park Service.  Duties:  Continuation of previous survey work within Bandelier National Monument, Sandoval county, New Mexico. 

• March - May 2004
  GIS/GPS Specialist, Lone Mountain Archaeological Services, Inc.  Duties: evaluation of GPS/PDA hardware, ArcPad software development, development of field and laboratory methods and procedures, implementation of ‘moving map’ in-field data recording methodology. 

• May - September 2003
  Archaeological Crew Chief, National Park Service. Duties: Survey of parcels within Bandelier National Monument, Sandoval county, New Mexico. 

• September - November,  2002
  Project Director, LopezGarcia Group.  Duties: Survey of 30 miles of PNM transmission lines in Santa Fe County, New Mexico.  Duties included organization of project and supervision of field crews, identification of archaeological sites, in-field analysis of artifacts and features, and compilation of survey report.  Archival research undertaken during analysis focused on historical irrigation system along the Santa Fe River.

• May - September 2002
  Archaeological Crew Chief, National Park Service. Duties: Survey of parcels within Bandelier National Monument, Sandoval and Los Alamos counties, and El Malpais National Monument, Cibola county, New Mexico.   

• May 1996 - May 1997
  GIS specialist/Lab Supervisor, Archaeological Research Center, UTEP.  Duties: develop software to define and delineate archaeological sites based on the surface distribution of artifacts and features.  Supervise and coordinate data entry.  Undertake GIS based analysis of survey data.  Create cartographic output for technical report.
