New Mexico is a growing leader in developing open water data in collaboration with several state, local and national data experts. The NM Bureau of Geology (at NM Tech) is the convening agency of the NM Water Data Act, and we are hiring a dynamic leader as a fulltime program manager. This rewarding position will help with strategic planning, project management, and a range of collaborator communications. The ideal candidate has a passion for working to address water challenges in New Mexico.
We seek someone with experience managing technical projects, facilitating/organizing meetings, and building relationships. The ideal candidate is familiar with open data concepts, and is experienced with working on complex water-related issues with a wide range of stakeholders.
Bachelors degree in hydrology, environmental/ geoscience, engineering, or related field. Project management certification, and experience with water or environmental law, policy, or management desired. Experience with Python, R, Java, or related desired. New Mexico drivers' license required. Salary: Negotiable, based on experience.
