Mike Campana, former hydrogeology professor at UNM, wrote a blog post suggesting our network should be a model for Oregon and other states. This project, administered by our Aquifer Mapping Program, "...will gather new and existing data on groundwater levels to help us understand how our state's groundwater resources are changing through time, promote increased awareness of water issues around New Mexico, and provide an important foundation for making informed water-management decisions."

This project is just getting started, but if you wish to learn more, please view the project page. If you want to participate, please contact us (see project page).
