These PDF files can be plotted to scale on 36" paper if you have access to a
plotter. If a plotter is not available, several commercial document duplication
services can plot these maps as well. If you don't have a plotter, you can print
to smaller size paper in several ways: 

  -the whole map reduced to your page size (be sure the 'fit to page' option
   is checked in the print dialog. 
   
  -the whole map to a scale of 1 inch = 4 miles in tiles (uncheck the 'fit to
   page' option in the print dialog 
   
  -print a portion of the map at no particular scale using the graphic
   selection tool  in Acrobat to draw a box around the area of interest
   (if you don't see this tool activate it from the flyout menu by clicking and
   holding the left mouse button over the text selection tool). Be
   sure the 'selected graphic' option is checked in the print dialog before
   you print. You may also want the 'fit to page' option checked in the print
   dialog so that your area of interest prints on one page.
