ABCWUA Hydrcompaction Susceptibility Study Results GIS Files Rasters that are estimates of the hydrocompaction susceptbility of an Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority (ABCWUA) study area for suitability for managed aquifer recharge (MAR) projects. These layers in particular used to evaluate hydrocompaction susceptibility. See accompanying report and its appendices (Koning et al., 2019) for details. -106.77 -106.48 35.27 34.95 None Albuquerque Bernalillo County managed aquifer recharge envrionmental hazards hydrocompaction collapsible soils weighted overlay analysis None This data was compiled and analyzed to map estimated soil hydrocompaction susceptibility around the area defined by the Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority for managed aquifer recharge project. It is described in detail in the accompanying report (Koning et al., 2019. Susceptibilities are mapped at 1:50,000 map scale and with raster cell resolution of 100 m. Susceptibilities were estimated using an overlay method. No direct geotechnical data was incorporated into this study. As such, this data is useful for planning purposes at approximately 500 m length scales and careful review of sites are still needed. This mapping is neither intended nor adequate for site-specific assessment of hydrocompaction susceptibility.
