Instructions for Authors
Authors interested in publishing with the bureau should complete our Cover Sheet and submit it, along with their written proposal, directly to the Chief Editor (see below). Also available here is a copy of the Review Sheet, which we ask reviewers to complete when reviewing proposals and our bureau stylesheet (in PDF or MSWord formats). These documents and our Frequently Asked Questions about publishing should give potential authors an idea of how we evaluate incoming proposals. Open-file reports are another potential option for authors who want to disseminate their work without the burden of rigorous peer review. Non-bureau authors and photographers will usually retain copyright to their own material published by the bureau.
