Adam Read

At the Bureau of Geology, I have been involved in a wide range of projects. I have created geologic maps of several areas and mapped rocks ranging in age from Proterozoic to Quaternary. My educational background is in structural geology and ductile deformation of Proterozoic metamorphic rocks in New Mexico. My field projects include investigation of the timing of strike-slip faulting on the Pecos-Picuris Fault, mapping in the Southern Española Basin, the Sandia Mountains, and Ladron Peak areas (among others). Currently, much of my time is devoted to maintaining the Bureau website.
