Frederick received a diploma in Geological engineering in 1998 from University of Mining and Technology, Tarkwa Ghana, M.S in Geology from Miami University, Ohio, and a PhD from New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology NM. His current research focuses on understanding the mechanism of arsenic sorption onto Laterite iron concretion and it's application to arsenic remediation from drinking water. Frederick’s ultimate goal is to design low-cost arsenic filters using laterite iron concretions. He currently lives in Socorro with his wife Cynthia and kids.
