About this image

A stripped, Stage IV petrocalcic soil typifies the surface of the southern Llano de Alburquerque beneath a stormy sky. The soil is developed in the sands and gravels of the Neogene Santa Fe Group.

Southernmost edge of the southern Llano de Alburquerque, about 15 miles south of the Belen airport and 5 miles north of Bernardo.
