There are two volumes in this set about the geology of New Mexico's parks, monuments, and public lands. The text was written by geoscientists for the interested public. The northern volume, first published in 2010, covers the state to about the latitude of Interstate 40. The southern volume covers the rest of the state south of Interstate 40. Both volumes have numerous full color photographs, maps and illustrations that explain the geologic history of every region of New Mexico.
