Work with Aquifer Mapping Program team at NMBGMR to lead and participate on hydrogeologic research projects. Conduct scientific investigation, procure funding, and publish results. Maintain and grow existing Groundwater Level Monitoring Network for NM. Conduct field work, water level measurements, sampling, data management, QA/QC, and other hydrogeologic efforts.
Master’s Degree in Hydrology, Geology, or earth Science equivalent required. Knowledge of New Mexico Geology and Hydrogeology desired. Academic and/or professional experience with compilation and interpretation of multiple hydrologic and geologic data/resources on a regional scale desired. Strong competence in ESRI tools (ArcGIS), MS Office, and data management required. Ability to produce reports and presentations to clearly describe results for technical and non-technical audiences required. Strong leadership, communication, time management, and organizational skills required. Driver’s License and ability to travel for extended periods in New Mexico required.
