The NM Network for Women in Science & Engineering (NMNWSE) honored Bonnie Frey, who is a geochemist and Chemistry Laboratory Manager at the Bureau of Geology. This award is given to a New Mexico woman who encourages women to enter into science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and allied professions. Bonnie received this award, in part, because of the mentoring that she has provided to students involved in the NM EPSCoR uranium team, which she has co-led since 2014.
The award was presented Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, during the NMNWSE Technical Symposium & Business Meeting in Silver City, NM.
