This year's conference leads us through the majestic Sangre de Cristo Mountains and their picturesque, green valleys. Peaks in excess of twelve thousand feet in altitude will dominate the skyline throughout the trip, and on the third day the caravan will pass in the shadow of 13,160 foot Wheeler Peak, the highest point in New Mexico. During the first day the caravan will travel from Santa Fe to Pecos, Cowles, and then return to Pecos and travel eastward to Las Vegas. On the secnod day the caravan will travel from Las Vegas to Kearny's Gap and Montezuma via Mineral Hill and Gallinas Canyon and then return to Las Vegas and on to Mora and Taos. On the final day the route will lead from Taos, eastward across the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to Eagle Nest and Elizabethtown.
