As the manager of the New Mexico Tech Seismological Observatory, I operate ~25 seismic stations throughout the state of New Mexico, including field operations, data processing and analysis, and other research and outreach activities related to earthquakes in New Mexico. I am continually improving data collection and archiving processes to provide more timely and accurate information about seismic activity in New Mexico to government, industry, and the general public. I also work with the Regional Induced Seismicity Collaborative (RISC), a multi-state initiative to better understand induced seismicity and its causes, and the Western States Seismic Policy Council (WSSPC), which makes policy recommendations regarding earthquake hazard in the western US. I am interested in improving network coverage throughout the state, working with researchers to better understand the seismology of New Mexico, and increasing earthquake awarness. In the past several years I have focused on improving our network coverage and understanding of induced seismicity in the Delaware Basin in SE NM. Feel free to contact me if you think you may have felt an earthquake in New Mexico!
