About this image

Ship Rock is a distictive landmark visible from much of the Four Corners region (where the borders of NM, AZ, UT, and CO meet). Ship Rock is a volcanic neck, the remnant of an eroded volcano the erupted around 30 million years ago. There are also several dikes that appear to form walls radiating from the central edifice.
