Publications Resource Specialist

Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to support and assist the Publication Sales Office in the daily operations of this office, including but not limited to sales, inventories, reports, deposits, shipping, online orders, and invoicing/processing orders. This position provides customer service to visitors, the university community, the NMBG community, and the statewide community. The specialist is the primary contact for visitors to the Bureau of Geology Publication Sales Office and supports Mineral Museum visitors, interacting heavily with the general public in researching inquiries for geologic resources and providing event support.

Job Functions

• Customer service and daily operations
• Handles a range of administrative duties in the publication sales office
• Operates and maintains the Publications Sales Office printing equipment
• Assists with other Bureau business and functions as part of a team
• Attends and assists with conferences including on-site set up and sales
• Assists in managing students
