About this image
This image was taken from within the boxy syncline just NW of San Ysidro, NM. Much of the floor of the syncline is the Agua Zarca Sandstone Member of the Triassic Chinle Formation which has numerous small drainages with small waterfalls and pools. White Mesa is on the other side of NM-550 and is capped by gypsum from the Jurassic Todilto Formation.

Location
The San Ysidro Trials area contains numerous bike and motocycle trails over slickrock. There is also great hiking along these trails or off-trail in this area. There is a small parking area just past San Ysidro when heading north on NM-550 towards Cuba.
