The cliffs along the Rio Chama in the vicinity of Ghost Ranch expose a thick Mesozoic section. In this photograph, the dark red mudstones and sandstones are part of the Triassic Chinle Group and are overlain by the Jurassic Entrada sandsone, and capped by the Jurassic Todilto Formation.
