This map covers the entire extent of the Tres Hermanas Mountains in New Mexico to the border with Mexico. The mapped area also includes the city of Columbus, New Mexico. The Tres Hermanas Mountains are largely composed of Tertiary igneous rocks but early Cretatceous rocks and Paleozoic rocks as old as Silurian are exposed along the northern and northeastern flanks of the mountain range.
